Decorated Marine to lead Independence Day parade
Major General David Mize, U.S. Marine Corps retired, whose personal decorations include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Navy Commendation Medal with Gold Star, and the Combat Action Ribbon, will ride as the parade marshal when the annual Independence Day parade rolls through Bogalusa beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
